What You’ll Do:
As a Concentrate Blender, you are responsible for accurately measuring, mixing, and preparing concentrate blends in accordance with production specifications and quality standards. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this role ensures consistent product quality by following detailed formulas, operating blending equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the process. The Blender plays a key role in supporting downstream production and ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Accurately weigh and blend ingredients following batch sheets or formulation instructions. Operate mixing tanks, blenders, and other related equipment. Performs complex tank, hose/line connections to redirect flows as required. Move tankers to and from scale house to unloading/loading bay. Weigh tankers and provide information for bills of lading. Perform tasks in an outside tanker bay; climbing over tankers. Monitor blending processes to ensure quality, consistency, and yield targets are met. Inspect raw materials for quality prior to use and verify lot numbers and quantities. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment and work areas in compliance with GMP and HACCP standards (as applicable). Record batch data, including ingredient weights, temperatures, and time logs. Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material inconsistencies, or safety concerns. Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of blended concentrates. Collaborate with Quality Assurance and other departments to resolve any production issues. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Active participation and support of the plant safety program is required. Perform any other duties assigned. Assist any department as needed. Regular attendance required.
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training a plus. Valid driver’s license required; must have acceptable
MVR. 1-2
years of experience in a blending, mixing, or batch processing role preferred. Previous experience driving commercial or yard trucks. Must pass Basic Skills Assessment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in following formulas and measurements. Ability to read and interpret batch sheets, safety data sheets (SDS), and operating instructions. Basic math and computer skills for data entry and production tracking. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, or other industry standards preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to physically enter restricted, confined spaces including blend tanks and other tanks. Must have the ability to use yard truck to move tankers around the plant. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in following formulas and measurements. Ability to read and interpret batch sheets, safety data sheets (SDS), and operating instructions. Basic math and computer skills for data entry and production tracking. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, or other industry standards preferred. Must be able to stand and walk on hard surfaces for 8-12 hours per shift. Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift heavier items with assistance. Frequently bend, kneel, and squat to access materials, clean equipment, or perform blending tasks. Use hands and arms to reach above shoulder height and below waist level to handle materials, operate machinery, or adjust valves. Occasionally climb stairs or ladders to access blending tanks, storage platforms, or elevated control panels. Use hand tools, measuring instruments, and controls requiring fine motor skills and coordination. Must be able to read batch sheets, labels, scales, gauges, and monitor equipment visually for accuracy and safety. Required to recognize alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions in a moderately noisy environment. Exposure to strong odors, noise, and chemicals.
