This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing or replacing defective parts to maintain production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup and Operation:
Setting up and calibrating BLM machines (e.g., tube benders, laser cutters) to meet specific production requirements. Loading and unloading materials into the machine, ensuring proper alignment. Ensuring machine settings are correct (e.g., pressure, speed, tooling, and positioning).
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machine components. Identifying mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues and troubleshooting to resolve problems quickly. Replacing or repairing faulty parts (e.g., nozzles, sensors, electrical components).
Quality Control:
Monitoring the output of the BLM machine to ensure products meet specifications. Conducting tests or measurements on finished products to ensure they adhere to dimensional accuracy and quality standards. Adjusting machine parameters if output quality is not up to standard.
Programming and Software Use:
Using software to program machine operations, which could include tube bending sequences, laser cutting paths, etc. Updating and optimizing machine programs for improved efficiency or new production designs. Interpreting CAD drawings and translating them into machine programs for specific parts.
Safety and Compliance:
