Job Summary:
The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring parts are identified and cleaned to meet strict OEM standards in a repair station environment. This role ensures parts are free of contaminants to maintain performance, safety, and compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Cleaning:
o Inspect parts for cleanliness and adherence to OEM and regulatory standards. 2.
Machine Operation:
o Operate and maintain parts cleaning equipment. 3.
Parts Identification:
o Verifying part number and serial numbers. 4.
Compliance:
o Follow OEM specifications and procedures for cleaning and handling parts. o Ensure work adheres to
FAA/EASA
regulations, if applicable. o Document cleaning processes and results according to repair station requirements. 5.
Equipment Maintenance:
o Conduct routine maintenance of cleaning tools and equipment. o Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately. 6.
Safety and Quality:
o Handle chemicals safely, adhering to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) guidelines. o Maintain a clean and organized work area. o Participate in quality assurance audits and inspections. 7.
Communication and Teamwork:
o Work closely with technicians and inspectors to prioritize workflow. o Communicate effectively to identify and address potential cleaning issues.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
Experience:
Prior experience in cleaning of parts and machine operating as well as identifying parts. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
Familiarity with cleaning techniques and tools. Understanding of OEM standards and safety protocols. Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift components weighing up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and wearing PPE. Ability to stand, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
Work Environment:
Repair station with exposure to noise, chemicals, and machinery. Requires strict adherence to safety and cleanliness standards.
