South Congress Avenue, Palm Springs, FL 33406 JOB SUMMARY Perform other duties, including, but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices. Perform the dispensing or weighing of raw materials for manufacturing orders requiring compounding according to specifications. Follow the best combination of tools and equipment as per the Planning Department and Process Engineer recommendations for the manufacturing orders as well as ensure the highest possible quality for the final product. Weigh and measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to specified requirements. Compound or process ingredients and dyes according to formulas. Read work orders to determine production specifications. Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times. Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment. Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing. Operate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of materials such as chemicals, filler products, and color pigments. Add or mix chemicals or ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices. Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures. Examine materials, ingredients, and products visually, and with equipment as necessary to ensure conformance to established standards. Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas using moving equipment or hand tools as necessary. Test samples of materials and products to ensure compliance with specifications using appropriate testing equipment. Record operational or production data on specified forms. Tend accessory equipment, such as pumps or conveyors, etc. to move materials and ingredients through production processes. Unload mixtures into containers for further processing. Clean and maintain equipment, using hand tools and specified chemicals. Open valves to drain material from mixers into storage containers. Dislodge and clear jammed materials or other items from machinery or equipment, using hand tools. Inspect necessary tools (e.g. tanks, pails, etc … ) for every manufacturing order to ensure that they meet requirements (e.g. “Cleaning Production Utility Pails Work Instructions”). Inspect the appearance of raw materials before dispensing to ensure quality standards for colors and odors. Pour and weigh raw materials according to the manufacturing order specification as per the batch card. Follow bulk manufacturing process instructions as per batch card. Color match batches to meet master standards and color ranges as well as manufacturing instructions. Perform intermediate bulk testing (e.g. PH, viscosity, specific gravity) Report any shortages of raw materials or any other production problem that may affect the quality of the product before starting the batching process. Fill batch cards and perform yield calculation and reconciliation. Maintain the cleanliness of the dispensing station, tooling, computer equipment, and any other equipment provided by the company for the production process. Report any equipment malfunction to the Process Engineer and Process Unit Manager. Record process timing and temperature. Additional duties may include restocking raw materials, disposal of empty containers, cleaning and washing pails and tanks, sampling finished products, preparing paperwork for the QC department, and packaging and labeling finished products. Separate bulk by Sales Order, weigh the bulk, and label accordingly.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Chemistry preferred or equivalent experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE 1
to 2 years of experience and/or training in compounding in related industries (e.g. Cosmetics, Personal Care, Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in related industries:
Cosmetics, Personal Care, Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, preferred. Experience managing formulation, chemical management.
SKILLS / ABILITIES
Excellent Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure. Excellent Communication Skills. Effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and computerized systems for troubleshooting and repair. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a production environment with exposure to chemicals and odors.
