Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Set up and operate various metal fabrication machines (e.g., Brake Press, Turret, Fin Press) to cut, shape, and form metal parts per blueprints and specifications.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure proper machine setup and adherence to quality standards.
Safety & Cleanliness:
Prioritize safety for yourself and your teammates. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage and JSA guidelines.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect materials and finished products for quality, reporting any defects or issues to supervisors.
Team Collaboration:
Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, communicating effectively to meet production goals and ensure smooth operations.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot issues, and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency.
Flexibility:
Be available for overtime or shift changes as needed to support production demands.
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For Required:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum 6 months of machine operation or similar manufacturing experience. Attention to detail and ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents. Ability to stand or walk for long periods on hard surfaces. Comfortable working in physically demanding, noisy, dusty, fast-paced environment, and non-climate-controlled environment. Ability to frequently lift 30-40 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs. Ability to perform repetitive motions, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in confined spaces. Basic computer skills Preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 2 or more years of machine operation or similar manufacturing experience. Experience operating heavy machinery such as Brake Press, Turret, or Fin Press Experience programming and operating CNC machines.
