Full time Overview The Shipping/Receiving Technician is responsible for performing repair and recycling duties on coolers, vending machines, and fountain equipment upon receipt. This role also supports shipping, receiving, and forklift operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Operate industrial vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently. Perform leg repairs using spot and intermittent welding techniques. Ensure that all equipment is kept in a proper and safe working condition Remove components out of scrap units Verify and receive products as they enter the facility. Assist in unloading trucks. Sort and categorize products, verify counts, and input data into company computer system. Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain work area and equipment in a clear, safe and orderly condition.
Requirements/skills desired:
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and follow both written and verbal instructions. Understand purpose and proper use of small hand and power tools Basic welding experience preferred (ex: spot welding, intermittent welding) Must be able to take direction from leadership and complete task with minimum supervision Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings or late evenings as needed according to departmental needs. Preferred Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Previous experience in warehouse, forklift operation, assembly, or recycling. Previous experience within a high-speed industrial environment is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, grasping, and making repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Manual dexterity needed for repairing equipment. Maintains a safe working environment, including wearing personal protective equipment, (PPE) ensuring proper storage of tools and equipment when not in use, using proper signage while working, etc. Move product and/or materials manually as required.
