Job Description

SummarySafran, the world’s 2nd largest aircraft equipment manufacturer, is seeking Operators to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing aerospace components while maintaining high-quality standards, efficiencies, and safety protocols.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform Manufacturing Operations:
  • Execute repetitive assembly and hand operations on product delegated by leadership and/or due dates.
  • Perform simple setups and perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Provide accurate labor, material, scrap, and process information.
  • Identify and follow work instructions (ie. bill of materials, drawings, process sheets, and routings).
  • Must be able to perform at 65% efficiency without nonconformance
Tool Utilization:
  • Utilize specific hand tools, such as screwdrivers, rulers, calipers, wire strippers, hammers, wire cutters, and scales for assembly and hand operations, ensuring all equipment is safe for use based on general instructions.
  • Verify calibration of equipment and tooling.
  • Must clock 100% of time on site in time tracking software
Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to meet accuracy and precision standards.
  • Detect and report any unusual or defective conditions, such as quality issues or expired material.
Health/Safety/Environment and Continuous Improvement:
  • Adhere to plant safety rules.
  • Participate in process improvement activities.
  • Maintain organizational standards within the respective workstation, line, and department.

(i.e. 6S)

Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in daily production meetings.
  • Be willing to cross-train in other areas as needed.
Attendance and Flexibility:
  • Ensure regular, predictable attendance.
  • Be willing to work overtime as required to meet business needs.
  • Perform additional work as necessary by the business.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to communicate in English orally and through written means.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing work requirements.
  • Must be willing to undergo vision testing depending on customer requirements
  • Basic understanding of blueprints and schematics, including tolerances.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to operate machinery effectively.
  • IPC Solder Certification.
  • Basic computer skills.
Physical Demands:

Stationary 75% / Mobility 25% (may lift up to 25lbs alone – then with a partner/life machine)
