Process Technician 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Sarasota, FL 34240 WEEKLY PAY $28-32 HOURLY

OVERTIME IND-ELS POSITION SUMMARY

Perform mold changeovers, start injection molding machines to validated processes and troubleshoot/correct any changes that may need to be made to produce a quality product for our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Capable of safely performing machine start up, shut down, and any necessary process changes to ensure that the machines are running at the proper efficiency and that the product is in conformance. Capable of safely performing daily mold and machine PM’s per procedures. Safely monitor and repair auxillary equipment and notify maintenance of any issues Verify that the machine cycle, cavitation, and set-up parameters are correct Record performance of machines and any adjustments that are made. Work with QA department to prevent any nonconforming product. Perform any housekeeping duties as assigned by the Supervisor Follow all Safety and GMP practices

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and Skills:

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Good written and verbal communication skills. Have a mechanical aptitude and own set of mechanics tools. Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Understand and be skilled in the use of a variety of hand and power tools and measuring tools.

Abilities:

Capable of physical mobility, including: standing, sitting, bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching with hands and arms. Capable of passing a company required drug test. Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Must be able to safely operate a forklift, attend forklift training and possess a valid forklift certification license. Able to follow documented procedures and standards while working independently and remaining self-motivated with minimal direct supervision. Must be able to work one or more days on weekends and over time during the work week if so required.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years’ experience in injection molding processing preferred Basic computer knowledge

Environmental Factors and Physical Demands:

Capable of regularly lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 75 lbs. Ability to work standing up for entire shift. Vision while performing the job correctable to 20/20. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. No uncorrectable hearing impairment. Full use of both hands.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Required to wear glasses or safety glasses at all times while on the production floor. Required to wear gloves when operating certain machines as instructed. While working in the Clean room area, in addition to wearing gloves, will be required to wear hair nets, beard nets (if necessary) and lab coats. Ear plugs and a face shield are to be worn when using a grinder.

Working Environment:

This job operates all over the facility but is primarily in a production environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
