Job Description
Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, is seeking a qualified candidate interested in Extruder Operator at their VR1 facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia. This position will report to the Shift Supervisor for Extrusion. Applicant must be willing to work any shift.
Pay:
$22.83
- $28.
55 per hour depending on experience Additional night shift premium of $2.50 per hour. Included in overtime hours and double-time hours.
Schedule:
12 hour
- Night Shift 7:00pm
- 7:00am on a 3/2 schedule

Overtime Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent Ability to accurately read a tape measure Ability to be self-directed and multitask Ability to lead and manage the performance of others Timeliness Ability to obtain forklift license and operate forklift Ability to use a computer Ability to calculate/count Operate Extrusion/Laminating line in order to: Ensure safety Perform to quality, waste, and production standards and goals Meet or exceed the customers’ (both internal and external) expectations Meet the highest of quality standards Communicate orally and/or in writing to other departments for resolution of mechanical problems, reporting defective material, coordination of job preparations, changeovers and daily shift information Report production accurately and timely through Prism to include waste, WIP, time codes, raw materials, etc. Ensure the training of assistant on essential job functions. Ensure your own safety while operating the machine and that of those assisting with operations Manage the duties of an assistant including, but not limited to: Prepare printed rolls for lamination (primary unwind) Prepare back stock rolls for lamination (secondary unwind) Place rolls in machine and prepare for splicing (both unwinds) Assist in removing rolls from rewind Remove and weigh startup rolls at beginning of job Keep box resins stocked and ensure wand is placed in resin Clean NIP roll in machine during setup and downtime to prepare for startup Perform daily housekeeping Remove and weigh waste from both unwinds Remove and weigh waste from rewind if necessary Make waste bales when baler is full Resume containing relevant experience is required for further consideration EOE F/M/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disabled/Vet Printpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer.
