Waterjet Cutting Machine Operator

• Job Description:

• Computer experience required.
• Operate and maintain waterjet cutting machines to produce parts from various materials, including metal, stone, glass, and composites.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate cuts.
• Set up machines, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment for optimal performance.
• Perform quality checks on finished parts to ensure they meet tolerances and specifications.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Work in a non-air conditioned industrial shop. Steel toe boots are required.

• Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC operations is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience operating waterjet cutting machines or similar CNC equipment is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and measurements.
• Computer experience required.
• Proficiency with tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
• Experience with various power tools such as band saw, drill press and sanders.
• Ability to lift to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience required.
