The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating slitting machines to cut materials into specified widths and lengths, ensuring quality and precision throughout the process. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Operate slitting machines safely and effectively to cut materials according to specifications. Perform routine maintenance on slitting equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and machinery, including plasma cutting and laser cutting equipment, as needed. Conduct quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure product meets specifications. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the slitting process. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Document production data accurately for reporting purposes. Experience Proven experience in operating slitting machines or similar equipment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining processes. Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. Experience with programming machinery is advantageous.
