Description:
Sigvaris is currently looking for a Knitting Machine Technician I to join our team in Peachtree City, GA. The Knitting Machine Technician I is responsible for the general repair of hosiery knitting machines to ensure first quality products are produced to company specifications.
SHIFT:
Monday to Thursday 1st: 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
PAY PLUS BONUS
$22.75 per hour. Automatic $0.50 increase every six months during the first year of employment. Opportunity to earn $100 Attendance Bonus payments per quarter. • Subject to Company’s Attendance Policy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs required/needed maintenance to knitting machines to ensure machines are operating in good working order. Addresses machine stops to keep machines operating efficiently. Performs preventive maintenance as outlined in weekly PM sheets. Follows proper procedures to ensure product is knit to specifications. Responsible for setup/sizing of different styles/series on machines and ensure proper sizing to spec before release to production. Supports the

quality system and quality policy by following work instructions, procedures and the accurate fulfillment of required forms to meet all internal and external requirements. Assists the other teams on shift by helping when resources are needed. Assists with the training of new personnel in the department. Works toward meeting the production and quality goals as set by management. Assists the knitter with yarn tickets, creeling, inspection and paperwork. Performs miscellaneous tasks and jobs as directed by the Supervisor/Shift Lead. Utilizes shift reports to address known stop issues of machines and the pro-active approach of addressing them. Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment. o Interacts with external and internal customers in a timely manner conducive to continued positive relationships. o Displays patience, courtesy and tact; demonstrates flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to cooperate while working with others or in place of others as necessary. Demonstrates effective communication methods. o Supervisor and/or appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions. o Responds quickly to all oral and written communications. o Maintains and encourages an open line of communication with both internal and external customers. o Accurately and legibly presents written data to affected internal/external customer. Follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with

policies, industry standards, ISO 13485 standards, 6S and Lean Manufacturing, and Federal, State and local laws. Assists with the implementation of Lean/Kaizen initiatives or events in the department. Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements to support the

Quality System and Quality Policy. Accurately performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
Requirements:
EDUCATION and
WORK EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or equivalent/GED. No experience necessary. Training will be conducted on site. Circular Knitting machine experience is a plus!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. Regularly required to stand and walk from machine to machine for long periods of time. Ability to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, bend, lift or climb. Occasionally required to lift light weights (less than 25 pounds). Finger dexterity and hand coordination required. Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.
