JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for preparing ingredients for batch runs based on daily production schedule. Ensure accurate weights and measures for formula, and record usage for relieving of raw materials. Ensure the quality and stability of products by complying with production guidelines, following standardized recipes, and by overseeing product quality through proper storage and product rotation.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare work area with required ingredients and equipment Keeping area sanitized and organized throughout the shift Accurately weigh and stage ingredients for production Ensure accuracy of scales used for batch preparation Perform routine quality checks, including inspecting all raw materials in preparation for production Assist others on production line when necessary Accurately record production data as needed to track and monitor ingredients/materials used for production Assures food safety standards with regards to GMP’s and HAACP plan are followed at all times Maintains neat, clean and organized work area at all times Ensure ingredients are tagged, date-labeled, covered, stored, and rotated effectively Ensure replenishment of ingredients are staged in a timely manner Follow all required plant safety guidelines and work safe practices Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals related to safety, packing, cleaning and assembly/disassembly of machinery
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Able to work in varied temperature environments (0-50 deg.) Will work in environment where safety precautions are required to be followed Protective gear such as gloves, work boots, and smocks required at all times Will work around moving machinery Moderate to heavy physical effort required Regularly required to walk, reach, bend and lift for long periods of time throughout the day Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs •
