Job Description
Machine Operator 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Alpharetta, GA 30005 Partners Personnel is seeking skilled and dedicated Machine Operators . This position demands attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet both production and shipping deadlines.
Job Duties:
Prioritizes jobs according to the ship dates and Commitment Sheets Compares face ticket with purchase order for quality assurance purposes and job specifications. Calculates the number of boxes needed according to quality, overall size and the number of forms per wrap. Retrieves proper size unmade boxes from corrugated storage area, pre-assembles boxes for packing and affixes labels to each box. Brings the order to the machine via rolling table or pallet jack. Sets up machine by adjusting guides to fit product size. Mounts and feeds stock onto the machine. Makes necessary adjustment. Tests a sample for quality. Adds chipboards if required. Removes product from the machine and packs boxes with inserts to secure the contents, tapes close with a hand-help-taping gun and stacks on a pallet. Retains a copy of the job order for the shipping department. Logs production data on iPad. Brings finished order to the shipping department via rolling table or pallet jack for shipment. Performs general housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively with others Must be able to interpret special instructions. Must possess basic reading, writing and math skills. Minor mechanical ability to make machine adjustments, operate pallet jack and small hand tools. Strength and stamina to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout a normal work shift. Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and kneel throughout the work shift Ability to read a ruler, exhibit good math skills, and ability to detect colors
