We are looking for an experienced Press Operator in the automotive field. Dependable to show up for their scheduled shift daily, and willingness to be an active team player. Erdrich USA is looking for a press operator with a willingness to learn. The Press Operator will need to be attentive to details on the machine, follow all safety procedures standards, and eager to learn the machine inside out.

Press Operator Goals:
(fundamental objectives for orientation of the employee) Ensure that the correct production program is used within the assigned production area. Organization and optimization of the workflow within the assigned production area. Assurance/optimization of the manufacturing quality within the assigned production area. Adhering to the instructions for safety and environmental protection. Tasks (important primary responsibilities in logical order) Fitting and setting up production area and tools, including quality acceptance pursuant to the applicable instructions and regulations. Manufacturing of high quality products as per valid drawing. Continuous process and quality monitoring on the assigned production area. Continuous documentation of the production data. Continuous documentation of the quality data. Active support for various logistics tasks (e.g. Prepare packaging, inter-company transport, etc.). Active support during adaptation procedures and repair work by tool maintenance. Active support for the special departments when running in new tools and operational equipment. Performing mandatory maintenance procedures pursuant to the valid maintenance schedules, as well as supporting repair and service work on the assigned production area. Active cooperation with the implementation of order and cleanliness in the workplace (5S). Active participation in the continuous improvement process (KVP). Obtaining and processing information from the prescribed media (information blackboard, workplace assistance, SharePoint, etc.). Continuous development by participating in training programs. Active support during the training of new employees and temporary employees on the assigned production area. Competencies for

Machine Press Operator:
Completed vocational education as a machine and system operator (m/f), tool mechanic (m/f), industrial mechanic (m/f) or comparable “metal profession”. Possibly license to operate floor conveyors and cranes.
Professional experience:
Several years of professional experience in metal work or metal processing. Good knowledge of metrology and reading drawings. Good understanding of ERP systems and MSOffice.
Personal skills:
Willing to work shifts and overtime – is willing to adapt to the constant changes in daily tasks. Safety awareness – recognizes hazardous work conditions and observes general as well as company-specific safety requirements.
