POSITION SUMMARY :
Facilitate in the manufacture of quality brake pads.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Scorch Machines:
Operation Operate 2 scorch machines. Machines should be in operation the entire shift. Follow set operating procedures and job aides. Follow lot cards to ensure proper date and lot is being processed Transport & stage product at machine for processing. Load pads into machine and inspect pads as they exit machine at end of scorch cycle. Stage product on cart for transport to Kitting area Tag completed pallets for QA inspection process Follow procedure outlined in
MS-SC-C-004
for Scorch #2 product change over. When scheduled, shutdown machines following machine specific shut down procedures. Notify Shift Supervisor or maintenance when completed. In case of an emergency, engage “Emergency Stop”, close “Main Gas Supply Valve” and notify supervisor and/or maintenance immediately Quality checks/Paperwork Complete all required check sheets Complete weight loss test in accordance with

Do visual quality check on all pads. Hold non-conforming pads and process per
QP-08-002
Control of Nonconforming Product. Record shift production on Scorching Inspections Results form and submit paperwork to supervisor
Milling Machines:
Operation Operate 2 milling machines. Machines should be in operation the entire shift. Process pads using the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method. Follow set operating procedures and job aides. Transport milled product to the scorching staging area, keeping all product of one lot together and all separate lots and styles separated. Complete all quality checks and paperwork for the milling area. Quality checks/Paperwork Do all quality checks for milling (Go•No Go gauges, measurements, etc.) Do visual check on all pads. Complete milling section of the finishing lot cards. Record production and scrap for milling (time sheet and production report). Cleaning Clean milling machines 1 time per shift.
General:
Follow all safety guidelines for Scorch & Milling operations Wear and maintain area specifc PPE Lift 35 lbs. (+•) frequently•full totes to staging platform and full totes to pallet General cleaning and all area specific 5S procedure Have and maintain excellent attendance
