Doucet Operator
WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
JOB SCOPE
Safety is of primary importance to this and all positions. The Doucet Operator is primarily responsible to:
To safely finish and package material from the manufacturing lines.
To maintain a well-organized and clean work station and update required documentation to insure a quality product.
Dependability is an essential part of this job as well as the ability to team with co-workers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Adhere to all plant/OSHA safety rules.
Adhere to all JSA’s pertaining to the finishing and packaging equipment.
Perform safety inspections and report all unsafe conditions or Near Miss events immediately.
Wear all PPE as required.
Follow all environmental and housekeeping requirements, properly dispose of trash, regularly sweep, keeping material, oil and water off floors.
Insure work station is clean prior to end of work shift.
Operate the finished edge machine and the ring wrapper machine, including making product changes as needed.
Perform all quality checks, report all defects and insure that product meets all dimensional and cosmetic standards, and properly document.
Package product per specification – proper palletization of product, correctly coded and properly placed labels, insert slip sheets, and band product to pallet.
Properly enter production and inventory information correctly.
Any other duties assigned.

EDUCATION
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
EXPERIENCE
1-2 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Related manufacturing or trade school experience a plus.
Use of hand tools and measuring devices is helpful.
OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Job may require use of ladder or climbing of stairs, shoveling of material and use of equipment when qualified such as floor or MHE machines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position may be exposed to seasonal temperatures in winter and summer.
Position is typical of medium industrial environment exposed to dust and other contaminates that require proper management and control through use of approved/ provided PPE.
