Machine Operator 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 56 Downing Parkway, Pittsfield, MA 01201 Sampco is hiring! We are looking to hire a dynamic machine operator for our Downing facility in Pittsfield.

Position Summary:

Position is responsible for operating a variety of equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Job Functions:

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Setup and operate a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Machines include but are not limited to: Seybold cutter, Thermatron, Clam Shell, Clicker Cutter and CNC Router Adjust machine setting to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion. Moves raw material to and from production areas as necessary. May be assigned to different workstations as production needs require or shift from one station to another to reduce fatigue factor. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

No previous experience required. Ability to read and interpret documents and respond to questions. Must be organized, self-motivated, detail/safety-oriented individual with the ability to multi-task and follow instructions. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
