Full Job Description Description:
PacAero Agawam is seeking a Masker to support our plating department. This hands-on role is essential in preparing parts for plating operations, including masking, unmasking, cleaning, and inspection to ensure high-quality surface finishing per customer specifications. This is a full-time position based in Agawam, MA.
Requirements:
Apply masking materials (tape, paint, rubber, etc.) to parts to protect areas from plating, following detailed instructions or blueprints. Remove masking post-plating, inspect finished parts for quality, and report any defects or issues. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Clean parts using approved solvents and procedures before masking or plating. Collaborate with plating and quality control teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Assist with inventory management and organization of masking materials and supplies. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Ability to follow detailed instructions, drawings, and procedures. Prior experience in a manufacturing or plating environment preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Comfortable handling small parts with precision. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks involving repetitive motion.
Work Environment:
This position is based indoors in a production environment. Safety equipment and protocols are provided and required. Exposure to chemicals and solvents is typical in the plating process.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in masking or plating processes. Experience in aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing environments.
