COMPOUNDER A
compounder’s job is to mix and combine ingredients, often chemicals, according to specific formulas or recipes to create products. This can involve sourcing materials, accurately weighing ingredients, and ensuring proper ratios are maintained. The Compounder is responsible for the compounding of all products in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Safely and meticulously handle all materials to ensure the following: Preparing and mixing ingredients: Following formulas and recipes to create products.
Accurate weighing and measurement:
Ensuring precise quantities of ingredients are used. Clean and maintain weight area and weigh area log.
Operating equipment:
Using machinery like mixers, tanks, and scales. Perform balance calibration check procedures. Inspect and set up manufacturing equipment.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Keeping equipment and work areas clean and sanitized. Understand and implement equipment cleaning procedures, cleaning apparatus and techniques, monitor and order cleaning supplies. Maintain cleanliness of processing areas and related equipment.
Documentation:
Completing paperwork and batch records.
Quality control:
Ensuring products meet specifications and quality standards.
Following safety procedures:
Adhering to safety regulations and handling hazardous materials. Maintain the purity, safety, and integrity of the product, as well and the safety of all individuals in the plant.
Inventory management:
Maintaining an adequate supply of raw materials.
Communication and collaboration:
Communicating with supervisors, other team members, and potentially with customers or suppliers. Perform daily maintenance of the Purified Water System.
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent. Compounder experience a plus, but not required.
Good communication skills:
For working with others and following instructions Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions. Attention to detail.
Physical stamina:
For standing and lifting.
