Machine Operator 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars Leominster, MA 01453 Our client, one of the world’s leading suppliers of electrical equipment, is looking to hire a Machine Operator – Braider for their location in Leominster, MA. As a Braider, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process by operating machinery to produce high-quality braided wire and cable products. Your attention to detail and ability to follow manufacturing specifications will ensure the consistency and reliability of our products. •Must train for two weeks on the first shift, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Rate $20 an hour•
The Day-to-Day:
Verify raw materials delivered against Manufacturing Specifications. Set temperature profiles on the extruder according to material requirements. Select the appropriate tip and die, and install them into the crosshead to ensure concentricity. String up the line, adjusting air pressure on dancers to maintain proper wire tension. Adjust extruder and capstan ratios to achieve desired dimensions. Set the spark plug to the correct voltage. Configure the capstan and take-up gear ratios for efficient operation. Set up inkjet printers as needed. Perform tensile and elongation tests, adjusting wire pre-heat or quench water temperature as necessary. Inspect start-up samples for adherence to specifications; make adjustments as needed. Inspect each subsequent reel produced for dimensional conformance. Adjust traverse settings on the ake-up to ensure a smooth package. Attach the production tag to conforming material. Attach a stop tag to non-conforming material.
Qualifications:
Must have wire & cable experience. 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or plastics. Basic math skills. Must be able to operate machinery in compliance with safety standards.

$22.00 /hr Monday to Friday 3:00 PM to 11:00
