Machine Operator Whipps Inc. Athol, MA 01331
PURPOSE:
Utilize specialized machinery to form raw material
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
- Read blueprints and specifications to plan layout and metal forming operations.
- Set-up metal forming machines (with the exception of programming).
- Layout, position, align, and secure parts prior to metal forming, using various measuring devices.
- Run metal forming machines to include Laser, Water Jet, Press Break, Shear and other machines.
- Examine work for defects and measure to ensure conformance with specifications. Diagnose and correct problems with the product.
- Participate in scrap removal, yard organization and inventory count
- Operate overhead cranes and fork trucks to position and move work.
