Temp-to-Hire Opportunity Job Description:

Immediate openings for Mill Laborers with a well-established employer in Ashland. Great entry-level opportunity with competitive pay and opportunities to move into more advanced roles. Benefits available after temp-to-hire period. Full-time/Nights; 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM, 4 days per week, Monday – Friday. Some overtime available as needed. $21.93/hr. + $2.00/hr. night shift differential. Attendance bonuses available. Mill Laborers will be responsible for operating and maintaining basic machinery used in the lumber production process. Employees will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe processing of raw logs into finished lumber products.

Responsibilities:

Operate production machinery, such as saws, conveyors, and planers.
Load/unload raw materials and finished products from equipment or work areas.
Inspect finished lumber to ensure that products conform to quality standards.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures as directed by site supervisor.
Notify management of any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent education required.
Ability to operate machinery, stand for extended periods, and move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
Background check required.

Schedule:

 Full-time/Nights; 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM, 4 days per week, Monday – Friday. Some overtime available as needed.

Pay:
