JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
The Tosei machine operator entails operating high speed sophisticated machines by managing settings and conducting tests to ensure a successful operation in the production process.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sets up, operates and tends the PT machine
Inspect equipment in use through troubleshooting, checking for any problems in them and fixing them immediately if any, in order to prevent breakdown in the course of work
Feed dough into the PT machine
Shovel filling into the PT machine
Monitor the PT process; conduct process checks to verify the filling, dough consistency & quality to spec
Monitors PT closely to detect any signs of malfunctioning that may affect the quality of work and tackles it immediately to avoid it getting worse
Running product to specifications, ie: overlaps, etc.
Assist with training backup personnel
Follows established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as required
Follow all safety rules and regulations per established company policies
Operate a forklift/palletjack to pull and move raw materials
Bring any quality problems to the attention of the Lead/Manager/Supervisor
Bring any machinery problems to the attention of the Maintenance Team/Lead
Perform all other duties as assigned
Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with
Food Safety:
GMP’s, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, Quality & USDA requirements.
Position Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, Certification, License or Membership:
Prefer High School Diploma or GED
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work rapidly and with a high degree of accuracy
Math Skills
Reliable
Self-driven
Minimal Supervision
Forklift/Palletjack Certification

Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts & horseplay
Use proper lifting techniques
Use mechanical assistance (handjacks, forklifts)
