Position Overview
STS Technical Services is hiring skilled Sheet Metal Machine Operators to join our team in High Ridge, Missouri. This second-shift role is responsible for the fabrication, repair, and installation of sheet metal parts and assemblies. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components in accordance with technical drawings and specifications
Operate machinery including press brakes, spot welders, lasers, and punch presses
Interpret blueprints and technical documents to ensure precise fabrication
Use shop mathematics to calculate angles, curves, and layout patterns
Perform repairs and modifications on a variety of materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and composites
Participate in continuous improvement activities including 5S/6S and LEAN initiatives all safety protocols, including proper handling of materials, PPE usage, and equipment operation
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with company policies
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work
Prior experience with metal fabrication equipment preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
Familiarity with different metals and composite materials a plus
Must be willing to work 2nd shift and commit to safety-first work practices
