Job Description
2nd shift – Machine Tending/Operator 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Sunset Hills, MO 63127 2pm-10pm $18-$22/hour based on experience
- Machine Setup and Operation
- Set up and operate die-cutting machines, including loading dies and adjusting settings for speed, pressure, and alignment.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating machines, to ensure continuous operation
- Quality Control
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform regular quality checks during production and make adjustments as needed.
- Record and report any defects or issues to supervisors promptly
- Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating machinery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to management immediately
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of production, including quantities produced, materials used, and any downtime.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status and any issues encountered Qualifications
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training or certification in machine operation is a plus.monster.com
- Experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience operating die-cutting machines.
- Experience with specific die-cutting equipment (e.g., Bobst, Young Shin) is preferred
- Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications.
- Basic math skills for measurements and adjustments.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Standing for extended periods and performing tasks that may require bending, stooping, or kneeling.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental factors typical in a manufacturing setting.
Work Environment The position is based in a manufacturing facility with a fast-paced environment. Operators may be required to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet production demands.
