Job Description

2nd shift – Machine Tending/Operator 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Sunset Hills, MO 63127 2pm-10pm $18-$22/hour based on experience

  • Machine Setup and Operation
  • Set up and operate die-cutting machines, including loading dies and adjusting settings for speed, pressure, and alignment.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating machines, to ensure continuous operation
  • Quality Control
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform regular quality checks during production and make adjustments as needed.
  • Record and report any defects or issues to supervisors promptly
  • Safety and Compliance
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating machinery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to management immediately
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of production, including quantities produced, materials used, and any downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status and any issues encountered Qualifications
  • Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training or certification in machine operation is a plus.monster.com
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience operating die-cutting machines.
  • Experience with specific die-cutting equipment (e.g., Bobst, Young Shin) is preferred
  • Skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and adjustments.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing for extended periods and performing tasks that may require bending, stooping, or kneeling.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental factors typical in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment The position is based in a manufacturing facility with a fast-paced environment. Operators may be required to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet production demands.
