Position Summary:
The Laser Part Breakout Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently removing laser-cut parts from sheet metal skeletons. This role ensures all parts are accounted for, inspected for quality, and properly organized for the next stage in the production process. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Remove laser-cut parts from sheet metal skeletons (breakout/de-nesting). Inspect parts for quality, ensuring cuts are clean and tabs are properly removed. Organize and stack parts according to job and routing requirements. Dispose of scrap material and skeletons in designated bins or locations. Use hand tools such as hammers, pliers, deburring tools, and air grinders when necessary. Verify part counts and match them to job travelers or work orders. Communicate any discrepancies or damaged parts to the Laser Operator or Supervisor. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Assist in other fabrication duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus. Ability to read and understand job travelers (routers) and basic blueprints. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced fabrication shop with moderate noise and frequent handling of metal parts. Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots. 1st

6am to 2:30pm, M-F 2nd
Shift:
2:45pm to 1:15am

$19.00 – $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
