This role is responsible for working from drawings and specification sheets, set up and operate machines, assist in maintaining equipment is in good condition, keep area clean, handle material and assist other case department operators in measuring, positioning, holding or moving parts and materials
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate machines such as, presses, press brakes, shears, rolls, tube-forming machines, drills and saws.
Shot blast to remove scale, slag, and dirt from tanks and partsChip weld splatter and clean tanksGrind surfaces as requiredFlush tanks to thoroughly remove dirt, grit and scaleCheck transformer tanks for leaksAssist other case department operators in measuring, positioning, and holding, or moving parts and materialsYour background:
Diploma of vocational (welding) studies preferred.
Knowledge and skills acquired through previous experience.
Strong work ethicKnowledge in material handling and operation of hand power tools.
Knowledge of properly reading and understanding assembly/fabrication prints.
Attention to detail and self-motivated. Work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work any shift, weekends and holidays.
