About The Opportunity Position Summary:
The Roll Grab Operator drives a liquefied gas-powered industrial truck equipped with lifting clamps in order to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move up to 4-ton paper rolls in a warehouse, factory, and from rail cars and trailers.
Essential Functions:
Changed from Key Duties and Responsibilities 1. Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus 2. Position clamps around rolls 3. Transport loads to designated areas 4. Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device 5. Inventory materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed 6. Record roll weight and footage on tags 7. Lubricate truck or replace liquefied gas tank as needed 8. Receive roll into inventory 9. This roll will be the backup for the utility operator and assist with the starch kitchen 10. Assist the inventory clerk with completing monthly cycle counts 11. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors Performance Measures and Outcomes 1. Adherence to safety policies and procedures 2. Quality of work 3. Production goals Education/Certification High school diploma or equivalent Industrial Truck Operator certificate preferred Work Experience Previous industrial truck operator experience is highly desired Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner 2. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business 3. Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed 4. Ability to effectively work in teams 5. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people 6. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles 7. Ability to operate hand tools Two companies, one vision.
