Mebane Job Summary The Water Spider is a key member of the Mebane production team working in a team environment. The Water Spider is responsible for multiple tasks to include but not limited to loading customer orders, moving raw materials to and from the Large Mixer, rotation at the Baler, ensuring key line supplies are replenished, and assisting in keeping the warehouse and baler area clean and organized. The Water Spider is also responsible for assisting the Teams in all production tasks that support the implementation of World Class Manufacturing. Job Responsibilities Communicate with Shift Supervisor at start of shift to confirm priorities for the day. Deliver raw materials to and from Large Mixer area. In rotation, operate Baler to support production loss. Return and store material as required from RTS area (confirm part #, weight). Deliver materials to line operators and replenish line supplies to meet production requirements. Support weekly cycle count activity as needed to maintain world-class organizational standards. Support annual Physical Inventory activities as needed. Transport Finished Goods (and GIP) from production lines to DC Warehouse. Assist in creation and adherence to SOP’s (standard work) and risk assessments. Assist in submitting EHS cards and creation of SMAT’s (Safety Management Audit Tool). Assist in creation and submission of QK’s (Quick Kaizen). Responsible for maintaining a clean work area (5S) and support disposal of waste per the standard. Communicate with next shift for shift pass off, letting them know job priorities, etc. All other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications and Requirements 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Must be able to successfully complete Forklift training and receive company approval to drive/operate. Must be willing to rotate positions daily including baler activities. Must be willing to abide by all PPE requirements per the standard. Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills. Possess ability to plan out workday and multi-task to complete objectives. Demonstrate ability to read; follow safety standards, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Be willing to build relationships with internal teams and external partners/customers. Demonstrate integrity, maturity and a constructive approach to challenges. Demonstrate efficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications. Possesses basic written and verbal communication skills. Be willing to demonstrate teamwork thru everyday actions. Shift Schedule Requirements Dept operates on a 24-hour day, 7 days per week schedule. Candidate must be available to work all (7) days per week. Candidate must be available to work 12 hour shifts as needed. (Est. 40-60/hours per week)
