SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Calender Operater operates the calender to produce a finished tape in accordance with specifications and procedures established by Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R D, and Engineering. Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Obtains daily shift schedule from Calendering/Mixing Shift Manager
Checks with Calendering/Mixing Shift Manager for any NSOP
Checks operating specifications
Verifies recipe on Beta Gauge
Checks specification for Corona Treater (if needed)
Checks all safety interlocks/guards before start-up
Checks top, middle and bottom roll temperatures, and records each hour
Monitors Beta Gauge; adjusts weight as needed
Monitors adhesive bank
Follows “Red Tag” procedures if required
Follows all plant housekeeping and safety rules
Adjusts the calender Makes preventive maintenance and safety inspections Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Certification Requirements
High school diploma or GED
May be required to obtain a tow-motor license
