  • We are looking for an
  • Assembly Operator III
  • to join our team. This position will be a
  • full-time contract
  • and
  • on-site in Fairview, North Carolina.
  • Weekend work only: Friday-Saturday-Sunday 12-hour shift 7am-7pm This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

  • What You’ll Do:
  • + Responsible for the safe operation of assigned high-speed large-scale automated assembly machines + Make complex repairs and major adjustments to assembly equipment, including set-ups and changeovers + Perform quality checks per the quality inspection plan (QIP) and document specified measurements per print at required intervals + Conduct daily/weekly/monthly preventive and routine machine maintenance + Perform tooling adjustment, such as sharpening/conditioning, checking height of spring-loaded pins, keying features, bend stations, insertion stations + Replace sensors, punches, dies, stock components, air cylinders, belts, etc.

+ Adjust housing feed based on associated standards + Use height indicator, ram optic, gauges, and microscopic visual checks + Identify and re-set machine faults, clear jams, restart production, and remove and package finished products

  • What You’ll Need:

Required:

+ High School Diploma or GED Required + Minimum of 2 years of combined job-related vocational training and relevant work experience + Requires judgment and basic problem-solving skills to accomplish tasks

Preferred:

+ May require external certification in some disciplines

  • Physical Demands:
  • + Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards + Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor + Regularly required to wear steel toe shoes
