Machine Operator

Asheville, NC The Machine Operator may operate a variety of machines in the personalization production process.? Responsibilities are primarily general machine operation, basic troubleshooting, and daily maintenance.??This position will clean and prepare work area and machine for next workday or shift at the end of shift. Essential Job Functions The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. Prepare Machine for start of shift, which include necessary materials and paperwork Perform duties necessary to operate machine and perform required tasks according to machine or position procedures Complete simple, routine maintenance on machine to keep machine operational. Troubleshoot machinery for basic malfunctions Complete all necessary paperwork required for machine operated on for the position Clean machines at end of shift to prepare for next workday or next shift Clean and stock work area in preparation for next workday or shift Safely perform physical demands as indicated below Work overtime and weekends as assigned by supervisor Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel

Education:
High School Diploma or GED Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Ability to multi-task Good interpersonal and communication skills Strong computer skills required Strong attention to detail Basic math and reading skills Basic mechanical abilities preferred Ability to differentiate color variance

First Shift hours are 6:55 am – 3:05 pm; Additional overtime may be required with short notice. A demonstrated commitment to safety is a condition of employment.
