Shift Paint Product Handler Operator II, Manufacturing Responsibilities:
Ensure all parts are hung in the accurate color order, verifying part numbers, quantities, colors, and destinations. Remove painted items and visually inspect them for defects and accurate coverage, touching up small defects as needed. Use protective supplies to ensure all parts delivered to assembly lines are free of any dings, dents, scratches, and scuff marks. Deliver finished goods to manufacturing lines or store them in designated racks. Perform other duties, provide support and coverage on all operations on the line as requested by the supervisor. Cross-training and flexibility are required. Follow safety procedures and use equipment as per company policies. Keep work area clean, supporting coworkers, safety, and efficiency. Engage, initiate, and suggest initiatives that support team goals and continuous improvement in processes. Communicate effectively within the cell or with other departments to relay key information. Be open to and ask for suggestions from others regarding production issues and goals. Perform all job duties consistent with the Code of Ethics and the 4-I Values, serving as a role model in the workplace. Train and mentor new employees or transitioning workers in the area. Use computer systems to check email, complete online training, and complete the Performance Management and Development (PMD) annual review process.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent experience. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and handle bulky parts, frequently lifting up to 35 pounds. Beginner computer skills or a willingness to learn. Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing experience. General knowledge of spray finish tools and processes.
