First Shift Hours:

STATEMENT

Fills cushion cover with cushion fill and regulates to quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Helps load/unload fill from truck. Removes cushion covers from conveyer and using cushion fill machine, inserts fill into cover. Regulates corners and welt on filled cushion. Places filled cushion onto roll cart. Fills cushions for all repairs. Back up for pillow filler, mail outs and loading conveyor. Maintains neat and orderly workstation. Performs other duties as required by supervisor. Works safely and reports unsafe conditions to Dept. Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Education:

Minimum one (1) year of Cushion Fill and/or Upholstery experience preferred.

Required Skills :

Must be able to stuff and regulate cushion fill. Must be able to lift/remove/transport cushion fill in excess of 30 lbs. Required to use cushion fill machine. Must be able to read tickets and job notes. This position requires manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and attention to detail to meet high quality standards. Must perform job with safety as a top priority. Must be able to show up to work on-time and take direction from supervisor(s). Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for nine (9) hours or more daily. Ability to get along with others and work in a team environment. Perform related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
