Our client, a global leader in high-performance textiles, is currently hiring Lead Operators at our Durham, NC location! This is a direct-hire, full-time opportunity to join a stable, innovative company committed to employee wellness, growth, and sustainability.
- As a Lead Operator, you will:
- + Provide on-the-job training for new employees and cross-training for existing staff. + Ensure that machines are running efficiently and within production targets. + Monitor product quality and initiate corrective actions when necessary. + Report any unsafe conditions and ensure team members are working safely + Train extra operators to serve as backups for other lines

Schedule & Pay:
- + Starting pay to $23/hr.
– based on experience + 12-hour rotating shifts (two week rotation) + Example rotation: Two weeks on days, and next two weeks on nights and then return to days + 132 hours of
PTO + 10

Requirements:
- + High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred +
- Manufacturing experience with preference in plastics extrusion, nonwovens or paper manufacturing. +
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills +
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures +
- Excellent problem-solving skills +
- Experience entering information into production database as well as ERP system +
- Must be able to read a ruler and understand fractions, and demonstrate basic math skills +
- Must be able to work well with others and in a diverse workforce environment +
- Forklift experience required.
