Location:

Durham, NC (ASG) – Industrial spec gas How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Plant Operator 1 processes previous service gas cylinders inpreparation for new gas production. Responsible for safety, productquality, and productivity during the work shift. Sorts cylindersaccording to cylinder size and service, scrapes and paintscylinders, maintains organization in the cylinder yard, movescylinders by forklift and handcart within the facility. Inspectsand prepares high and low pressure cylinders for the fillingprocess, performs required maintenance on cylinders. Load andunload common carrier trucks and Airgas shuttle trucks. Sort and evaluate incoming gas cylinders. Move cylinders to designated processing areas. Scrape labels from cylinders. Paint and apply temperature coating to cylinders. Perform visual Inspection of gas cylinders. Install new cylinder valves in both low and high pressurecylinders. Maintain the cylinder yard in a clean and orderly manner.

Stores cylinders in designated locations by service, cylinder sizeand valve type. Perform valve and cylinder inventory. Qualify to operate forklift and perform forkliftinspection Loading compressed gas cylinders onto and off of cylinderpallets. Load and unload common carrier trucks and Airgasshuttles. Perform maintenance on cylinder prep equipment. Keep a clean and orderly work area. Support Management team with regard to maintenance of Healthand Safety and ISO Quality programs.
