Extrusion Supervisor (Monday-Thursday 7PM-7AM) 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Mooresville, NC 28115
Hours:
Monday through Thursday 7PM-7AM.
Pay Range:
$30-$32 per hour! SUMMARY Operates, set up and troubleshoots extrusion lines. May perform minor repairs as necessary.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure quality requirements are being met on a daily basis per Company and client expectations; takes corrective action to resolve problems Accomplishes production staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, and coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures Ensures standard operating procedures (SOPs) and plant safety standards are being met at all times Maintains staff by assisting in the hiring process, orienting, and training employees in partnership with HRBP and Director of Operations; tracks employee time off requests and follows timekeeping procedures according to payroll requirements Monitors work flow; sets processing variables; observes control points and equipment; identifies opportunities for improvement; implements cost reductions; develops reporting procedures and systems; monitors headcount to ensure production and quality schedule is achieved Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning staff, accomplishing production, quality and cost results; establishing priorities and monitoring progress Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing staff on the use of all equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures Coordinates with other shifts and departments to provide quality product for our customers Ensures accountability of staff shift production employees and coordinates with maintenance to ensure equipment runs properly Maintains accurate production and quality control records on a daily basis Spends less than 50% of the time running machinery
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist mechanics and machinists in repair work when necessary Perform back-up for warehouse employees Provide on-the-job training to new employees Ability to perform timely and accurate data entry
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Basic reading, writing, and math skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times daily Ability to be certified in forklift operation.

Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots (steel-toed), and hardhats.
