Mold Preparation Specialist for Third Shift Sunday – Thursday morning 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars 710 South Mulberry Street, Statesville, NC 28677 This position will works in the No-Bake Mold Floor of our Foundry as a Blender Operator, building molds and operating and calibrating sand.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Must be able to read and write and to follow both oral and written instructions Must understand simple math and read measurements Must be able to learn the various materials used in building molds. Will be required to make molds on NB Floor and must learn to make cores Must be able to use the skidloader and forklift and overhead crane and maintain a license for each. Must learn to use patterns. Must be able to operate and calibrate sand mixer. Must be able to use trowel, shovel and several special tools Must be able to operate powered pallot jack Must be able to lift heavy objects and move sand. Must be able to plan throughout the shift. Must have a good safety and attendance record. Other jobs as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. Must be able to lift above and below the shoulders. Must be able to squat, bend, twist, push and pull as needed. Must be able to climb and stand on ladders up to an approx. height of 10′ Must be able to wear required PPE such as Foundry boots, hard hats, hearing protection, safety glasses or face shield. Must meet minimum vision standards, corrected or uncorrected and have good hand/eye coordination.
