ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Ensure heat and electricity is active and properly set. Start batch rollers, sizing rollers, set temperatures and roller settings, load die and set During operation check product piece size, weight, shape every 15 minutes and complete control sheets Ensure correct cleaning of Uniplast and die after product run Change products on the batch run Operate within tolerance specified in the recipes Ensure machine is kept lubricated at all times Follow SCN BestCo’s LOTO Policy and procedures to ensure that machines or equipment are isolated from all potentially hazardous energy before performing cleaning, service or maintenance activities where they may be an unexpected energization, start-up, or release of stored energy. Responsible for hygiene and housekeeping of machine and surrounding areas Responsible for the quality of the shape and form of the product Control the cooler temperature and vibration Cross train on continuous cooker so as to relieve operator Wash down/close down operator
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to complete all required documentation (includes, but is not limited to, batch records, log books, notebooks, raw data (charts, graphs, scans, etc.), validation protocols, labels and cGMP-related forms). Versatility/flexibility High level of dexterity Mechanical aptitude Self-starter Ability to adapt to high temperature environment Frequent heavy lifting 50 to 70 lbs Self-motivation Ability to make quick decisions/react accordingly Hygiene oriented/quality conscious Good team worker
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED At least 3 months of machine operator experience at SCN BestCo or a minimum of 1 year of experience as a machine operator outside of SCN BestCo Willing and able to clean and sanitize machines Must be open to work any shift that is necessary depending on the business needs Move/lift 50 pounds on your own with or without reasonable accommodations Able to stand for long periods of time Basic computer knowledge (must be able to log on and complete required cGMP SOP training and email)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
