The
- Glass Dropper
- operatesa computer-driven machine that cuts the glass to specification, using an automated mechanism to load the glass andcutto size.
Theyare responsible forremoving the cut pieces of glass from the cutting table and slotting them into the correct cart while discarding any excess glass. Quality checks for any imperfections in the glass and safety awareness for oneself and coworkers around glass arerequired.
- Responsibilities
- Read the production tickets todeterminethe sequence number to place into the sash“`{=html}“
- Verify the setting block are in place“`{=html}“
- Remove plastic stripping from tape“`{=html}“
- Check glass for imperfections and accuracy based on ticket“`{=html}“
- Place pane into sash“`{=html}“
- Check to ensure panes are placed and fit properly“`{=html}“
- Send to next station on production line“`{=html}“
- Ability to add, subtract, work with fractions“`{=html}“
- Use, understand, and thoroughly read a tape measure“`{=html}“
- Perform all other duties assigned

REQUIRED
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent“`{=html}“
- Experience in an assembly-line or manufacturing environment“`{=html}“
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time“`{=html}“
- Must have good hand /eye coordination and gripping strength“`{=html}“
- Ability tolift upto 50lbs occasionally and 15-30lbfrequentlyduring the shift“`{=html}“
- Must be able to work a 40-hour work week, weekends, holidays, and overtime asrequired“`{=html}“
- Must be able to use, understand, and thoroughly read a tape measure“`{=html}“
- Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 th of an inch“`{=html}“
