Operator I, Manufacturing
A Day in the
Life:
Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery. Perform simple maintenance and make necessary adjustments.
Follow all written procedures. Report discrepancies in procedures (SOP’s, PMR’s, etc.) to the Area Supervisor.
Document accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance.
Continuously monitor product for defects.
Help improve the production process by making suggestions for improvement.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Required:
No previous work experience required
Preferred:
Previous work experience in manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field
Preferred:
Experience in a cGMP environment
Uses packaging and/or inspection equipment to pack containers of products according to approved departmental Standard Operating Practices (SOPs), SOMs and PWOs and ensures all in-process and completed work is accurate. Ensures it’s cleared for access to controlled substance.
Purges’ lines of components before and after packaging operations begin. Supplies and services line with packaging components specified on the packaging work order.
Examines product visually for proper physical quality (i.e., properly filled, sealed, labelled, etc.) and reports any irregularities observed during the packaging process to lead or supervision.
Checks receipt of packaging components or delivery of finished stock for quality, quantity, and agreement with packaging work order.
Completes all required documentation.
Maintains proper personal hygiene as required by Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs).
Demonstrates punctuality and sense of responsibility through adherence to attendance guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to speak, read, and write in English, including technical and scientific language.
Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours a day)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to move repetitively, including pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, bending, grasping, and crouching
