Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Knitting Machine Attendant / Mechanic reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of industrial knitting machines to ensure consistent product quality and peak performance. Key duties include operating knitting machines, troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and monitoring machine performance to meet production targets. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment, as well as inspecting finished products to ensure they meet all required quality standards and product specifications.

Qualifications:

Mechanical aptitude with experience in machine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, including the ability to strip and rebuild knitting machines. Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory setting with the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently. Ability to lift to 40 lbs. Repetitive pacing back and forth on production floor Ability to Sit, Stand, Push, Pull WHMIS and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certifications. Basic computer and math skills, along with good hand-eye coordination Familiarity and Knowledge of hand and power tools. Strong Attention to Detail and ability to follow specifications. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating effective communication and teamwork skills. HS Diploma or GED 2 years of experience with Knitting Machine Operating and Mechanical Maintenance Electrical
