Warehouse Fabrication Singer Industrial 644 West Academy Street, Randleman, NC 27317 Viking Hose & Fittings, a division of Singer Industrial, is an industrial distribution company specializing in supplying mechanical rubber goods to Industrial companies. We are seeking a Warehouse and Fabrication person to perform fabrication tasks, help customers, and receive and put away stock to maintain the warehouse. Successful applicants must have a good mechanical aptitude and enjoy working with tools and equipment. This is fast-paced, independent work, characterized by a variety of frequently changing tasks. The ability to read and follow complex instructions is essential. Previous experience with fluid power or plumbing/HVAC products is a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Fill customer orders and stock Performs hose assembly (cutting hoses to size and attaching components to manufacturer specs) Operates manufacturing equipment, including forklift, crimpers, Bandit, saw. Responsible for accurately completing hose orders and pick tickets Performs daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Conducts in-process inspection and enters work order data. Communicates workflow problems and equipment needs. Able to multitask with minimal supervision. Understands initiatives such as LEAN manufacturing. Performs work in a safe manner Label outbound material with appropriate shipping information. Some overtime may be necessary

Required Skills/Abilities:

Demonstrated knowledge of Hose product assembly, standard work and equipment operation and set-up. Good math and measuring skills, including the ability to convert fractions and decimals. Ability to read, speak, understand, and write English. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Good computer knowledge and skills and the ability to learn company business system. High school degree or GED required. Must pass a background and pre-employment drug test. NAHAD certification a plus. Hose assembly experience a plus Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds Must be able to stand, walk, and or climb for several hours at a time. Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, and may have exposure to dust, odors, and fumes. #LI-DNP
