DESCRIPTION:

Setup, clean & operate machinery and a variety of related equipment that are part of a plastic production line.

CORE DUTIES

Able to understand and follow written work instructions to produce material per specifications meeting targets and quality requirements. Completes required paperwork and ensures process consistency. Keep work area organized and safe at all times. Follows all EHS requirements. All other duties as assigned including housekeeping and helping out in other areas as needed. Education and/or

Experience:

High School diploma required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Key competencies:

Leadership, working independently, customer centricity, collaboration, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), advanced critical thinking, problem solving skills, team leadership and participation. Ability to use ERP systems and Microsoft Office programs effectively. Continuous Improvement skills and experience is essential.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software; Word Processing software and Internet software.

Physical Demands:

While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing duties, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles and high heat (some areas not climate controlled).

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
