Sorter Operator 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Marshville, NC Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Marshville, North Carolina to find an experienced and eager sorter operator to join their growing team! The main responsibility of a sorter operator is to assure lumber bays have space for incoming lumber.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Monitor lumber when dropping from bays to assure correct destination following established procedures Attention to detail in dropping lumber to make space for incoming lumber Strong communication in relaying quantity and grade to stacker operator by way of radio or visual signs Correct and adjust lumber to maintain even flow and consistent movement Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications:

Excellent attendance Excellent hand/eye coordination Ability to follow handwritten and verbal instruction Able to work independently Follow established EWPI safety rules to include special emphasis on Lock-out/Tag-out procedures Refer questionable matters to work leader or supervisor Work in a safe manner Maintain clean and orderly work area Pay rate for this position is $13.50 – $14.50 an hour depending on experience. if you are ready to start a new opportunity with a great company! Pay Details:
