Education & Experience Requires 4-year degree and relevant field (preferred) or equivalent industry experience. Minimum of one year of experience in a BIM, drafting, or MEP-related role. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction techniques, and spatial awareness. Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit. Ability to interpret and translate design documents into constructible models. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in a dynamic environment. Ability to read and understand technical documents, blueprints, and schematics. Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and clients. Strong mathematical proficiency, including geometry, trigonometry, and ratio-based calculations. Essential Functions Lead coordination efforts for BIM projects, providing direction to CAD Drafters as needed. Attend coordination meetings and collaborate with project stakeholders. Interpret 2D drawings and specifications to develop detailed 3D/4D/5D BIM models. Ensure constructability and accuracy of MEP models. Perform clash detection and resolution using BIM software. Analyze scheduling, cost impacts, and workforce allocations. Generate detailed shop drawings for ductwork, piping, and prefabrication assemblies. Maintain and organize all BIM-related sketches and drawings. Provide piping assembly drawings for the Pipe Fab Shop, Sheet Metal Shop, and Prefabrication Shops. Assist in the creation, updates, and maintenance of BIM equipment and fitting libraries. Utilize AutoCAD MEP and Revit to develop and refine project models. Ensure all models and drawings adhere to industry standards, project specifications, and company protocols. Experience Required 1 year(s): BIM modeling, drafting, or MEP coordination in a construction, fabrication, or mechanical contracting environment.
