Machine Operator Position Available In Wake, North Carolina

Machine Operator Custom Made Better 3221 Durham Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603 CMB Acrylic is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our group as a Panel Saw Operator for our Raleigh, NC location. The focus of this position will be the daily operation of our semi-automated panel saw to cut PMMA acrylic sheets to customer/plant specifications. This position will report directly to the operations manager, and will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate cutting of our acrylic plastic sheets. To be successful in this position, candidates must be able to perform the following tasks in a fast paced, production oriented environment:

• Daily operation of the semi-automated panel saw for the cutting of plastic (acrylic) sheets to size as specified by the daily/weekly job list.
• Clean/Inspect the saw and supporting equipment daily
• Perform general machine maintenance tasks, such as saw blade changes, as needed
• Evaluate raw acrylic sheet sizes for optimal cutting patterns to reduce waste and maximize finished product yield as needed.
• Utilize a forklift to pick and load sheets to be cut based upon job cut list assigned.
• Inspect cut sheet quality, to ensure quality standards are met.
• Comfortable operating computer-based controls for the saw operation
• Ability to adjust to the demands of the day as needed
• Attentive to detail and motivated to deliver the highest quality products and results
• Comfortable performing a repetitive process in a fast paced, production oriented environment. In addition to the tasks listed above, candidates must be able to meet the following requirements on a regular basis during the shift:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs throughout a shift
• Assist with warehouse operations as needed to meet business demands
• Operate a forklift in a safe manner (Forklift certification, or equivalent required)
• Operate general warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner Operation of the panel saw is done in a high-production environment.

Candidates must be comfortable on their feet all day, in a physically demanding position. Additionally, candidates must be able and comfortable working around industrial machinery, utilizing PPE as required (ear protection, gloves, etc.) to perform their duties.
