About the Role The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining mail insertion machines in a production environment. Education and Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Previous inserter machine experience preferred, but not required. Required Skills and Abilities
- Mechanically inclined.
- Must have ability to work independently.
- Be able to stand for long periods of time. Location & Commitments
- 100% on premises located at the corporate office in Raleigh NC.
Shift:
6:00am – 2:30pm Monday – Friday Responsibilities of the Role
- Responsible for operating automated mail inserters to process daily and weekly output from the Data Center.
- Ensure all mail processing conforms to company guidelines, policies and procedures, and in accordance with postal requirements.
- Person must be detail oriented to make certain that mail is processed according to predefined schedules.
- Ensure postage meters have adequate postage and the correct meter dates are applied.
- Clean and maintain inserters.
- Pull production output as requested.
- Request service on inserter machines, as needed.
- Employee must maintain a neat and organized work area.
- Maintain inventory control and ordering for supplies related to the Machine Room and Data Center printing.
- Be willing to operate pallet jack and fork lift.
- Be able to lift heavy boxes (30 lbs).
- Provide job status reports to supervisor.
- Ability to work weekends and/or various shift rotations, as required.
