Job Description

  • Plating Technician – Lincoln
  • Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for Plating Technician jobs.

This is a temp to hire opportunity in Lincoln, NH. This position requires candidates to have a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent months related experience and/or training. Basic math skills and measuring skills are required. Must have a basic understanding of chemistry as it applies to the job, and the ability to solve problems. Attention to detail and quality-minded work habits. Demonstrated ability to communicate with co-workers and leadership. Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs., stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods. Must be able to read and write simple statements.   • Responsibilities for a Plating Technician I include but are not limited to:
  • + The plating technician has responsibilities to safely perform job functions at the highest level of quality in the metal finishing operations.

+ Key responsibilities/essential functions include loading and unloading tote pans of parts, stacking parts in baskets, racks, and/or barrels, and using electric hoists and manual lifting. + Following prescribed procedures for processing, including cleaning, etching, desmutting, pickling, bright-dipping, dyeing, degreasing, heat treating, plating, coating, wet processing, and drying parts. + Filling baskets, racks, and/or barrels with parts to be processed and lowering material into appropriate tanks. + Removing parts when the process is completed and maintaining cleanliness of tanks and work areas. + Monitoring temperature of solutions and maintaining daily production logs. + Physically inspecting processing to ensure quality of product. + Performing general utility work, material handling, assisting with chemical handling and solution maintenance, and record keeping as needed. + Troubleshooting simple to moderate problems and ensuring the quality of the product produced. + Complying with EHS regulations and policies including wearing required PPE. Complete all necessary equipment in related area.

  • Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:
  • + High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
